The SAP window closes after macro run is completed.

Could you please provide me a code which will not close SAP window after macro run is finished.

And also please provide me a code to transfer data from Excel to a opened (manually) SAP window.

I am testing SAPGui 7.20 before installing it on all workstations. I found an error RFC_ERROR_COMMUNICATION in the following situation.

Client side:

WIndows XP SP3

Office 2003

SAPGui 720 + patch 2 (gui720_2-10007878.exe)

BI 7.0 ADDON FOR SAP GUI 7.20 (bi720sp02_200-20006596.exe)

BW 3.5 ADDON FOR SAP GUI 7.20 (bw350gui720_2-20006857.exe)

Server side:

Installed the following notes: 1471630, 1499568, 1477686, 1473879

I connect to P1B (Production systrem) with my login/password. Then I launch RRMX and the following error appears:

This error happens only on Production system. On Development and Quality systems it is ok. The difference between these systems is that Production has a message server (po1bwsc.sapmi.telecomitalia.local) and a Group server defined

(PROD_P1B that leads to 4 application servers).

If I force the application server to logon to po1bwsc.sapmi.telecomitalia.local everything works well, but using the

group server I get the error above.

Furthermore I found out that:

if I add the IP address of the GWHOST (tosatti in this case, but I have also donald and alexey) in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file, everything works fine.

Please notice that with SAPGui 640 there is not this problem, even without adding the above IP addresses to etc\hosts file.

How can I avoid this problem?

On some machines it goes, on some not, regardles of OS (xp, 7).

AWUS check's but reports error, lok in attachment log file.

I have go with sugested way (wus.txt) from mr. Bob Held! Thank You Bob!

Another question. I have created a new Installation server from scratch,

imported products, created packages and patched them. Now, package has a

name, but how does a client (AWUS)know, wich package is the right one, if i din't gave

a package the same name? Or, how can i tell to awus client, take this package?

It has to be some cfg file on client...but where...

After that I set up SAPLOGON auto update from server I have problem open SAPLogon on client side. Inside shorcut SAP Logon on the desktop icon there is file with .s8l extension. After double click on this icon  "Open in program" dialog appears. I cannot find any documentation or discusion. Plese help me find it.

I am encountering an issue where Adobe LiveCycle Designer 9.8 is not actually installing with SAP GUI 7.30 core patch 3 on Windows 7, both 32-bit and 64-bit.  I have swapped out the two files referenced in SAP Note 1658830.   I think the issue is with the ALD NwSapSetup is an older version.  The SapAldSetup.exe inicates that Adobe LiveCycle Designer 9.8 is already installed.  The is no designer folder under c:\Program Files\Adobe!  I have an OSS Message opened with SAP with no solution as yet.

Excel opens in the SAP GUI "iView" an freezes:

I found some OSS notes and updated to patch level 1, but still the same. Any ideas besides downgrading or waiting for patch level 2?

I am working on an enhancement to display work order report based on customer fields....

That is, In transaction codes IW37n(Create work orders) and IW49n(display work orders), we need to add user defined fields to 'Customer fields' tab.

I have completed this part..But we need to generate work order report as ALV grid which should display both standard fields as well user defined fields(customer fields) created earlier...I am  aware that this can be done through BADI 'BADI_EAM_SINGLELEVEL_LIST'...

But I face the issue while executing report based on user-defined fields...

After clicking on 'Customer fields' tab we can add the user defined fields to 'dynamic selections' screen...

If we enter the values for these fields and execute , report is not generated .

Report is displayed correctly only  if selection is based on standard fields...

Please let me know if you have any approach to display the report if selections are based on user-defined fields .

I'm using SAP GUI for Java 7.20 on Linux/Rhel6.3, and I'm trying to find some way to automatically log onto SAP systems, something similar to sapshcut that exists for SAPGUI Windows.

I've been looking into the possibility of SAPGUI supported scripts, I went through all documents in here  http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-8971 but with no luck of.

With the scrpting record window I was able to record some simple stuff like

I am having a hard time finding any information about SAPGUI and support on Ubuntu 12.04. Are there plans to support this release in the near future? I have heard that SAPGUI 7.30 for Java will include support for 12.04 but I can't find a timeframe on when it will be released.

If anyone has SAPGUI 7.20 working on Ubuntu 12.04, any info on how to get it working properly would be excellent.

I use SAP GUI 7.30 patch 3 installed on Windows 7 32bit and I got problem with history, it doesn`t work.

I see *.mdb file in %user%\AppData\Roaming\SAP\SAP GUI\History . It`s always created after deleting.

In traces I`ve found records about errors:

CSapHistoryDb::GetExitPoint: Microsoft Access Database Engine can`t find table or query "localtabchain".

I`ve already checked all referencing SAP notes about fixing MDAC and so on. But Windows 7 doesn`t have tools for MDAC repair, the file is system and locked.

Please, help!

I installed a SAP Installtion Server on our Windows Server 2008 R2. Everything works fine. I created a package without any problem.

But when I want to install that package on a Windows XP Client, an error occured. I did this via Remote --> Execute Process Remotely and got the following error message:

I have read a lot of posts here, but did not find a solution.

When I try to execute a process like "notepad.exe" remotely it works great. I can display the running processes without any problems as well or collect the log files. I think the problem is to execute the NwSapSetup.exe remotely from a file share.

Maybe it has something to do with WMI Security? When I try to execute the installation command via the windows powershell using a wmi connection, it returns returncode 2, which means "access denied".

Starting the installation string from the file share sitting in front of the client works without a problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i am getting dump when trying to select date in a custom application. this issue started after upgrading my GUI to 730 from 720.

in other machines which is still having 720 is working fine.

please let me know if any of you faced similar issue / if have any resolution for this issue.

         An error occurred when the system tried to process the commands

         from the Automation Queue on the presentation server.

         There are several possible reasons for this:

         - The installation of the SAP GUI on the presentation server is

         faulty or obsolete.

         - There is an error in the application program

         - There is an error in the SAPGUI or an integrated control

     Procedure

         1. Make sure that you have imported the appropriate Support

         Package, the current kernel, and GUI patch for the release of your

         system

         2. Check whether the error occurs locally on one or a few PCs, or

         generally on all PCs. Note whether the error only occurs for some

         users, for example because of a specific Customizing setting.

         If it only occurs locally, this suggests an installation problem

         with the PC. Check the installation; if necessary, reinstall the

         software. In the dump, search for the SY-MSGLI field, since it may

         point to the cause of the error.

         3. Activate the Automation Trace (in accordance with SAP Note

         158985).

         4.Start the transaction and continue until the screen immediately

5. From the System -> Utilities menu, choose Autom. Queue,

Synchronous Processing.

The status bar of the GUI displays the text:

   "Automation synchron flush mode on"

6. If you now proceed with the application, the short dump will

display the ABAP call that caused the error; the Automation Trace

will contain the error on the presentation server.

7. If necessary, load the short dump and trace files on to

sapservX, so that SAP can analyze them.

SAPGUI 730 allows users to store their own version of saplogon.ini in their appdata folder.  (also applies to SAPGUI720)

C:\Users\nkeithwalker\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common\saplogon.ini

A new user logging onto the laptop for the first time will be presented with a blank saplogon screen, there are no connection details. 

The IT staff will not have access to this folder as anyone receiving a replacement laptop will not want to divulge their network password. We have found the solution to this is to place the standard saplogon.ini in the default folder, so that it wil be copied over when the new user logs on for the first time.

C:\Users\default\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common\saplogon.ini

However I want to introduce the Corbu themed design.  It will become part of the Standard Operating Environment image. This is easily set up in the SAPGUI options, but is not stored in the SAPLOGON.INI.

Hi, I have upgrade my solman from SP6 to SP8, I guess the status was Import proper. I am not able to logon via SAPGUI, the little message only shows that "Compiling SAPMS380 in separate task", after a while just return error to me:

How can I populate the system list in the below screen , so I can just search in "Search For " field and add the system on users machine.

Have many systems in the landscape , its difficult to remember the hostnames and other parameters.

we want to use SAP GUI 730 and the environment variable SAPLOGON_INI_FILE that points to our common saplogon.ini stored on a server.

Is it possible in this case to set a path, by registry value or something else, to a locally stored SapLogonTree.xml?

Hi all,

the last 2 weeks I spend a lot of my daily work for testing SAP GUI 730, as we are planning a patch upgrade to AFS 6.5.

Actually we run 710 : patchlevel 14 but we are a bit afraid that the problems will increase. We are running BI 7 as well.

My tests on GUI 730 was successful so far, but 2 major problems appear:

1. If tx rrmx is called the system starts the download of the data, but Excel only shows a blank screen, the data will not be shown. I tried different scenarios also by changing rrmx_cust but that did not solve the fault. The test was done on win xp and win7 but on both environment same sh...
2. The print function was tested as well, but also here we do have a problem, when the print is done from e.g. tx VF03 and the PDF preview is used the system from time to time only shows a blank screen, but all Icons from Adobe reader are shown. I tried afterwards to call the print several times and after 3 times I get the blank screen, when I use PDF! the print appears again. Did anybody out there cover the same? Could it be that the smart forms for have any negative influence on it?

Let me have your input if somebody do have an idea otherwise I will open an OSS.
