SAP GUI 7.40 Java

I just installed SAP GUI 7.40 Java on my OS X system. So far I've encountered 2 problems:

 

1. I had all my connections identified through a connections and a MessageServers file. It looks like 7.40 changes how this is done and thus imports those. However, although I can see all my folders, all my connections to the SAP systems are not displayed. Upon further looking into it, it seems that the "<services>" section in SAPGUILandscape.xml is not filled in with my entries. I would have expected to see all my SAP Logon entries to be there, not just the folders.

 

2. I have SNC enabled and working with SAP GUI 7.30; but 7.40 keeps on stating that SNC is disabled. I am using the updated version provided by Benjamin (GUI 7.30rev3 for OS X has no sncgss.dyld) and that one is still working today with SAPGUI 7.30. Was anything changed in this respect with 7.40 for Mac?

saplogon pad version stored anywhere in backend sap system?

Hello - we are trying to get a listing of what SAPLogon pad version users are using to connect to our SAP system.  I had thought perhaps this info was stored somewhere inside the SAP system/db somewhere - and could just be found there -- does anyone know?  (I checked our EW Alert report and it doesn't have any of this type of info).  We have thousands of users - so need an easy way to pull this type of info (so we can go tell them to upgrade their SAPGUI to higher level where needed, etc)

Hello,

I saw today there was a post (Notification service for news about SAP GUI for Windows) talking about patch 5. It doesnt look like is available to download yet. When will it be? Also can anyone confirm that issue below will be corrected with p5? This (as well as some other p4 bugs) unfortunately is a showstopper for us and preventing us from going to p4. Hoping p5 is released soon and corrects many of these p4 issues.

SAP GUI 7.40 for JAVA on Mac incredibly slow

Dear experts,

 

I need your advice. I am using SAP GUI for Java on Mac and it is really very slow. Sometimes it works relatively fine but at some point it gets annoyingly slow. I have Mac Book Pro Retina 2015 with 8GB DDR and Intel i7 2,7 GHz processor so the hardware should be fine. I have this version of SAP GUI:

 

Java is of course up-to-date as it gets updated automatically on the regular basis. Was or is anybody else experiencing the same? I do not know what to do. I can work simultaneously on 3 remotes with 10s of apps running but once I turn SAP GUI on my Mac on, all gets slow as hell.

Not able to load theme in screen personas 3.0

Hi Expert,

 

I am not able to create a new theme in Screen Personas 3.0

 

I am following the below mentioned steps

 

Click on P Icon -> Create New theme -> Entered the name and description of theme -> Select General -> Clicked on Icon right to Window Image -> (Currently it is new system configured so no image in server) Clicked on Upload Image -> browse the fill from presentation system (File type is JPG and size is 44 KB) -> Then i clicked on Upload image icon. And now i see that no image is loaded.

 

Can you please help me if any configuration is missing or what should i do to create new theme ?

Assigning Vendors in ME51N - Personas 2.0 SP3

All,

 

When I try to assign a Vendor to an item in ME51N in Personas, the Vendor is not carried over.

 

I try to assign a vendor 10000223:

ME51N Assign Source of Supply 1.jpg

 

However it sticks to the previously assigned Vendor 10000216:

ME51N Assign Source of Supply 2.jpg

Is this a known issue?

Personas 3 - HTML GUI non responsive

Hi,

 

We are in the process of implementing SAP Screen Personas 3. We are on Personas 3 SP1.

 

When we ran /PERSONAS/ADMIN a flag came up that we should upgrade our kernel to patch 200. After we applied the kernel patch our HTML GUI became completely unresponsive. Nothing happens when you click anywhere.

 

Has any one experienced something like this before?

SAP GUI is not loading properly at particular site

Hello Experts,

 

We got strange issue and need your suggestions to fix it.

 

Issue: SAP GUI is not loading properly at particular site. ( it almost taking 40 mins to load)

 

Configuration setup : Server configuration files are stored in different master server location from where *.ini files being fetched.

                                Local configuration files are stored at users desktop.

 

Action/Checks:

 

No issues at Master server end - Confirmed by Windows and network experts.

 

Same configuration has been setup for other location users , where they can access SAP GUI loading with out any time delay.

 

Re-installation not worked.

 

Environment variable which refers server configuration files , been setup properly.

 

we tried to keep both server and local configuration files stored at local PC, which is also not helping to fix it.

 

I hope no issues with SAP GUI versions and patch, perhaps we are using latest version.

 

No software upgrades happened atparticular issue site and no network issue from site to master server.

 

No firewall/network policy set up has changed recently - Confirmed by location admin.

 

Raised message with SAP, suggesting it could be network issue, but network experts confirmed that there is no issues.

 

Any suggestion, What could cause issue. your suggestions would help me to fix issue.

Java Gui 7.30 needs access to mac home folder

Hi there,

 

I recently downloaded the Java GUI 7.30 for mac and today I'm trying to download a pdf through VL71, but I get an error from the app that it doesn't got access to my home folder.

 

Do any of you know how to grant this access?

 

There has been an uncatched AccessControlException:

access denied (java.io.FilePermission /Users/perage read)

Not able to delete connections in SAP Gui

Hi experts,

 

I am facing with kind of issue after installing SAP Gui 7.4 with patch level 3.

There are many connections pop up on the logon pad after installing gui 7.4. I do not know what are these connections and would like to delete them but i can not. If right click on them there is no option to delete and even the trash bin icon is not active. Just let me emphasize that i am able to add/delete connections what have been added  later on manually.

Are these connection kind of standards and come with the installation ?? Is there any way/solution to delete them ??

Hi,

 

After upgrading to SAPGUI 7.40 SP5 (Release: 740 Final Release, File version: 7400.2.5.1110, Build:1614083, Patch level: 5) I got the following error message in SE71 when I try to use the Graphical form painter:

 

Graphical Form Painter could not be called (FORMPAINTER_CREATE_WINDOW, )

Message no. TD245

Diagnosis

An error occurred structuring the graphical Form Painter.

System Response

The system switches to the alphanumeric Form Painter.

 

Before it worked fine with SAPGUI 7.30. No relevant OSS note was found. OS: Win 7 Enterprise SP1 64bit.

 

Any hint what to check (apart from opening an OSS message)?

BAPI for HR Data using Function Modules in Screen Personas 3.0

Hello Experts,

 

I want to create an overview page for hr data with screen personas 3.0 using function modules.  I did not find BAPIs which are remote enabled to get the data out of infotypes 0000 Actions, 0001 Organizational Assignment, 0007 Planned Working Time or the added wagetypes in infotype 0008 Basic Pay.

Would anybody know, which BAPIs to use?

 

It might be, that there are no SAP standard BAPIs to get the data out. In this case I would like to know which requirements a custom developed BAPIs needs in order to be used by Screen Personas 3.0? We tried it before and always got the message that the function module could not be reached.

Personas 3.0 - Language support

Hi,

 

For one of our customers, we log in in dutch.

But, when using Personas, the language is German. (Only for the Personas parts of the screen)

 

This is only in production. In DEV & QAS, we don't have this issue.

 

Any idea's what could be wrong?

Problem Launching Personas Flavor from Fiori Launchpad

Hi guys,

 

I have an issue when trying to launch a Personas Flavor from the Fiori Launchpad.

 

I have followed the instructions detailed in the following link:

 

Start Personas Flavors from the Fiori Launchpad - SAP Imagineering - SCN Wiki

 

When clicking on the tile to launch the Flavor I am taken to transaction /PERSONAS/LAUNCH where the GUID is already populated but I must manually hit execute to bring up the Flavor.

 

Any help?

Personas config only client copy - missing Flavors?

Guys - could do with an quick response on this if anyone out there can help.

 

We just created a new environment by doing a config only client copy which appeared to work but at the end of it my personas flavors have not copied ....  can anyone explain why?

SAP GUI color settings for each client wihin a single system

Hi,

 

You can customize your SAP GUI settings for each system with SAP GUI Customizing. I myself have different colors for development, test and production system. This is useful when you have several SAP sessions open at the same time.

 

However - is it possible to customize GUI settings for each client within a <i>single</i> system? Usually I have open sessions for several clients and systems, and while quickly switching between the sessions, it is difficult to recognize where you are. How you are managing all your open SAP sessions?

sap gui 7.30 giving issue on windows 7 professional

Hi

 

  we installed sap gui 7.30 on windows 7 professional system.   when  we try open  graphical editor from the bellow sequence

 

   go to    se 51  slect the screensand select the laypout , we this error  1. could not end the mesage to gneux.exe , we reinstall the sap gui

 

    more than 10 times still we are getting this issue attached screen shot. please any one can help me.
