I know this question has been asked before, but i am hoping for your help as i have tried all other suggestions.

I want to read the locks in SAP, I am using RFC ENQUEUE_REPORT, which is already RFC enabled..

This is my script

The number comes back with the number of lock entries, however the ENQ table doesn't hold anything. I get an error if i try to use JSON.parse

I've tried to use the FM.getResultObject("ENQ") method as well without any luck.

If I debug the FM when called from Screen Personas i can see that it do find my entries.

Any suggestions?

I'm very new to SAP. I have installed SAPGUI 740 on my laptop and I've been attempting to run through manually the order to cash process. When attempting to save the transfer order my SAP instance errors out. I have tried for the past few days to see what the error means, but to no avail. I wa shoping someone here might be able to help me?

Is there a way to display the URL in current tab without launching a new tab?

Dear Personas experts,

we want to execute a check on the "Structure List" tree used in a EAM / Maintenance Notification (alert user if a certain element type is chosen).

The choice is made by a mouse doubleclick on the entries, i.e. green / yellow elements below.

How can we capture this doubleclick and perform the check? So far we have found that several ways do not work:

- No event handlers like "onClick" can be attached to GuiTreeComponent

- The "OnBeforeRefresh" event is not triggered in this case (seems no backend interaction is needed to take the selection back to IW21)

Thank you for any ideas how to get this implemented.

Customer facing Analysis office install issues. “NwSapSetup.exe” hangs . I’m able to see the “NwSapSetup.exe” in task manager. It’s working after 10 times to click the “AOFFCE23SP00_0.exe”, sometimes 3^rd click.  In task manager 10 “NwSapSetup.exe” is running.

We need to install AO 2.3 version in 3000 Laptops .  AO 2.2 it’s working fine all the laptop.

Can you please give some hint to resolve this issues.

Got a small but annoying issue here: I am using the SAP GUI for Java (version 7.40 rev 8) on my MacBook at the customer's site.

The GUI itself works very well but with some transaction like CG42 and CGSADM I got this error "SAP GUI does not support ActiveX controls" (there is a little screenshot attached).

Are ther any Mac users that have had similar problems? And were able to fix this?

in my company we have a Microsoft Infrastructure and my machine is the only GNU/Linux Client.

SSO is enabled for all Windows Clients and it works.

I am having trouble enabling SSO for Single Sign On.

My machine is in a active directory member running sssd (sssd(8): System Security Services Daemon - Linux man page) and Kerberos as authentication.

My steps so far:

Defined my SNC Library in ~/.profile

SNC_LIB="/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgssapi_krb5.so.2"

Defined the connection string:

(i have changed values for server and sncname below for privacy)

- Do we have to enable something in addition on the sap server especially for linux clients?

- Is this a client error?

- Do i have to add the server manually?

-> Shouldn't sapgui do that? (I am running gnome evolution mail client with kerberos authentication and it added the server itself to the keytab)

- Is this the completely wrong way and i should use the sapcrypto library instead of the system lib? (Have read that somewhere)

Does Personas need to be installed on ECC system only or can it be installed on Fiori server and connect it to backend ECC and access it ?

Does Personas version 3 needs EHP7 ?

As per below link, looks like only Netweaver version 7.00 - 7.31, 7.40, 7.50 is required and enhancement pack is not a pre-requisite.

I have created an SAP installation package and want to code into the build a way to point all users who get the GUI to use a file on the Installation Server. I can do this manually but want to add it into the package so it is done via scripting. Does anyone have the code that I can add my variables in to accomplish this?? My GUI build is 740 Patch level 8.

I upgraded from 7.10 to 7.2. After the upgrade I only get a black sceen where the SAP GUI should be. I can only see some text and when I'm in a text box I just see a red squere representing the input area.

I have tried to uninstall the gui and install it again. But it did not work.

Is there any things that I need to reset?

Hello, I have an issue about new landsscape file format...

I already have SAP GUI 7.40 PL9 installed and also NWBC 5.0 PL13 .. so I#m using landsscape format

Now I try to include a server side configuration file additionally.

Unfortunately this file on our server still has old 7.30 SAPLogonTree.xml format and I'm not able to convert this file an supply it on the network...

So in general:

How can this SAPLogonTree.xml file be converted into a 7.40 landscape format without loosing my local data files?

Deleting my local XML files seems not to be a good option...I want system to be appended.. not replaced

Is it in general possible for SAP to supply customers with a kind of split screen editor for different configuration files .. with import and export and convert functionalities for single system data or complete files.... ?

This would be a nice place to also offer a conversion option triggered by a button, as this conversion is already done during first saplogon start after 7.40 PL 4 upgrade (if NWBC is also installed).... so it should be not that complex to start this conversion also manually by a button.

Best functionality would be if user can import configuration files directly into a specified work area...... maybe this functionality should be only available for admins...

I can't imagine to be onliest one with these needs .... I think a lot of SAP people will like this idea as well... as the time goes by.. an configuration file editor as part of the SAPGUI is needed since a long time.. especially for developers ...

I had deleted my previous installation of sapgui 7.30. The saplogon.ini files remained in ...appdata\Roaming\SAP\Common

I now installed first 7.40 core version along with NWBC and then immediately patched SAPGUI to patch 4.

PROBLEM: When starting the new 7.40 saplogon, there are no logon entries.

many OSS notes (example 2075150 and 2075073) and this blog 'Announcing SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 by Melanie Reinwarth' http://scn.sap.com/community/gui/blog/2014/10/01/new-features-in-sap-gui-740#start=150  say that old saplogon.ini file will be migrated automatically to new landscape files SAPUILandscape.xml and SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml upon installation of sapgui7.40.

Well, the migration from ini to xml files did not happened for me upon installation.

I then tried these steps:

1) close saplogon and deleted the 2 new landscape files in hope that when I start saplogon again it will perform the migration from ini-file to xml-files. NO help, the files were recreated but without my former saplogon.ini entries.

2) I read OSS note 2075073 where it says that when entering a command parameters /INI_FILE and /LSXML_FILE for saplogon.exe it will then create new xml files by migration the old ini-file. I used this syntax in my Windows 7 shortcut on desktop: "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\saplogon.exe" /INI_FILE=C:\TEMP\saplogon.ini /LSXML_FILE=C:\TEMP\SAPUILandscape.xml. No help. It created new landscape files into C:\TEMP but they not contained the entries in old saplogon.ini and apparently saplogon was empty.

So what are my possibilities to migrate old saplogon.ini into new landscape files after the installation?

EDIT: I already read this blog http://scn.sap.com/thread/3678438 that deals with same issue, but the NWBC trick 'Redo migration by sap gui tool' did not worked. In then tried 'Redo migration by NWBW', which in fact did some migration to XLM file, but the file is not working in SAPLOGON (displays only two entries) and in NWBW although it will show the rest of folder entries, the system connections are not visible. Anyway, SAPLOGON is the one I use, not NWBC.

The migration utility would be helpful in companies where you get a fresh laptop and you need to install sapgui yourself and want to use your old saplogon.ini or get saplogon.ini from your colleague.

BTW: how can migrate my old SapLogonTree.xml as well, all my customer groupings are now lost.

I have already done some research on this topic and I also found some discussions, but they don't seem to solve the problem completely.

The following discussion and the corresponding SAP notes I have already checked:

SAP GUI on high DPI screens

I have a 13,5'' Screen with a native resolution of 3000x2000. The problem with this resolution is, that the display-scaling is set to 200% (by default) to have icons and text in a usable size.

I have a SAP GUI 7.40 PL8 installed and I also set the corresponding registry key mentioned in the note 2106323 - SAP GUI for Windows: DPI scaling of the Windows will be supported

Also the system I used for this screenshots is currently on SAP_BASIS 740 SP 0012, so the changes within Note 2161108 - Improvement of SE80 display for high DPI settings are already in the system.

This already works in most cases of the SAP-GUI, but when it comes to development (SE80) there are still some problems:

1. This is actually the main problem: the code completion "window" is not scaled, but the text within is correctly scaled.

This makes it hard to read and therefore isn't really a help anymore...

When there is more than one match (example you didn't type anything and it suggests all methods), it is clinched:

2. The Statusbar is scaled, but not widened, therefore it hardly shows anything anymore..

3. The Break-Points are not scaled, which is not a big problem, but it would help if they were also scaled.

4. The F4 and Display Icon next to the displayed object name are not scaled

5. The Icons to expand/collapse a folder are not scaled, which forces you to aim precisely to select them.

Points 2. - 5. are not such a big deal, because it doesn't really effect me while programming.

But the wrong (or not) scaled code completion is really bugging...

I know that the ABAP development is moving to Eclipse and I also use it already, but in systems below EHP8 the missing link between ABAP Docs and the texts in SE80 are a problem and cause double effort...

Perhaps Martin Runz also has some information on this topic?

Hello Forum,

After I click the Personas icon on top nothing is happening and the the blue circle (as shown below) keep rotating for ever. I am not sure what is wrong and places to check whether it is an issue with the configuration.  I get the same issue with Microsoft Edge , Internet Explorer and Chrome Browser.
