Screen Personas: Error: Unexpected behavior has been detected :
- Launched the screen personas from the URL.
- Pulled up the Manage Flavor menu
- Clicked "Create a copy"
- Entered "Test" in the Create a private copy popup box and clicked OK
- Got an Error "An unexpected behavior as been detected and you have been disconnected" - please login again.
What could be the probable cause?

saplogon.ini in Windows 7
I have installed SAPGui in my Windows 7 operating system. After installation i copied my saplogon.ini from old Vista system into new system in directory c:windows.
But double click on saplogin pad , I found no entries are available
Any Info ?

What is the SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 release date?
Reference SAP Note 1981118, the solution includes both SAP GUI 7.30 and SAP GUI 7.40. I am already in a preliminary testing phase of SAP GUI 7.30 core patch 7. I need to increase my projects cost projections based upon when SAP plans on releasing this new client.

Populating Dropdown Lists and Comboboxes in Personas
Phew!!!! What a month.....after considerable efforts, we are good to go with our HR Service center. We are all happy and preparing for go-live. Suddenly (although having done this previously), a thought came to my mind,"Ohh No!!!! Fill those combo-boxes again!!!!).
Naturally to avoid the efforts, I tried to find out a table where I can see the values. I found a table, but it's "where used" list is empty. Now I can run SQL trace and find out, but before that I want to know whether is it recommended to populate combo or drop-down using ABAP, and whether anyone has done this before.
Help is appreciated.Thanks in advance.

Question about saplogon.ini and sapshortcut.ini in TS Enviroment
Hello everybody,
currently we're planning to virtualize the SAP GUI frontend 7.30 Patchlevel 6 for about 500 customers with Citrix XenDesktop 7.5 as a Shared Application. We have the two use-cases:
- We want to provide a central saplogon.ini for the customers which covers our whole SAP Backend Systems. The Users should not have the rights to edit or change the presented systems.
- Every user should be able to create his own shortcuts individually from the presented systems.
We read about the option to set an enviromental variable SAPLOGON_INI_FILE and the usage of saplgpad and saplogon. The basic problem is that we didn't find a way to set a different path for the sapshortcut.ini...
Are there any best practises for our use-cases?

Personas - Search Help Tabs not loading
Hi All,
Running into a search help dialog bug within personas. When a search help contains multiple tabs, only the initial tab displays any content. When I click on subsequent tabs, they are all blank. The transaction I'm using in the screenshots is F-65, but I get the same results with other multi-tab search help popups as well.
Is there a fix for this?

URGENT! Sap GUI 730 Login Problem
Hello , I am a student at Concordia University using the sap program for a class assignment. I had reset my password the first time I used the software and for the life of me cannot remember what I used. I am now blocked for attempting to log in which is a major problem because I have an assigment to complete for tommorow. I log in using the `calcutta" network , client number 580 , user ID : GBI-137. I find it crazy that there are no options to retrieve a lost password on the software. I think im having trouble because I , myself, am not a registered user. Im just using the information provided to me by my University. How do I find my password , and how do I "unblock" myself so that I may login? I have no other information other than what I have posted. ( I have also emailed my professor but have not received a response). Im really hoping to find help here.

Error opening Mandate Attachment
Hello,
We implemented SEPA Mandates in our SAP system.
We stored the signed SEPA mandates as PDF file and attached it to the customer.
When I am trying to view the PDF file, I am getting an error.
Not all users get this error, so I guess it is related to the location where SAP is temporarely trying to save the attachment.
SAP wants to save the file in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
I get the SAP GUI security window, in which I have to grant access to the location.
I did find out that with transaction SO21 I can change the work directory, that is actually stated to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
I changed the value, but after that, SAP still is trying to save the file in de WINDOWS directory.
I think that if another location is being used, the error will be solved.
How can I change the file location where attachments are saved to open it?
Is cache memory here an issue?

Is it possible to maximize SAP GUI width to fit screen resolution?
I'm using a 1920x1080 screen resolution on my desktop and I would like to have SAP expand to the entire width so that I don't have to scroll horizontally all the time. Currently, it takes up less than half of the entire monitor and is just wasted space. I'm referring to the entire container size, not increasing font size. Similarly, I am trying to display more tabs on the screen at the same time instead of having to click the "next screen button (f7)". Can anyone tell me if this is possible and how to configure it?

NEW USER OF SAP ISU BILLING / CASH COLLECTION
Of late, the organisation I am attached to, has implemented SAP ISU (SAP GUI 7.10) Easy Access software, This is mainly used in billing & cash collection (electricity) like day to day activities. Being the organization a public sector, it has many offices that are being operated by this software. I know that the version is too old & there is hardly any support for this version. We find some T_Codes to perform different tasks. But the software provides us many extensive details (such as terms, activities, reports etc). Is there any procedure to know the software in details (such as manuals, help books etc)?

Extraction of Wagetype Information
Hi
I am busy extracting information on wage types in different payroll areas.
I am using transaction code S_AHR_61016176.
The report gives you the payroll period section where you specify the payroll area and period in which you desire. It then has a selection section where you can filter for the personnel Number, PAYROLL AREA, Per area and employee group.
When running the report specifying the payroll area in both the payroll period and Selection section gives you a different output to only inputting the payroll area into the payroll period section.
I do not know which output is the right output? and what the difference is in the data?

sap screen personas - how to navigate to another transaction and come back
Hi All,
I have a scenario(ME31K) wherein I have to input(link) document(CV01N document) in a pop up screen.
If the document is already there well and good, user can pick it from F4, else they will have to go to CV01N create document and then come back here.
In order to make it less complicated I have created a button in the pop up which takes you to CV01N, but the problem is once we create the document how to come back to this particular screen itself?
Is there a way to achieve this?
Your help is much appreciated.

Purchase order release in Personas
My first Personas project joined together a lot of transactions - 23 in total - into a single package designed to simplify SAP interactions for a relatively small group of users. You can read about that project here - Putting everything together - the finished Personas project. My second project is very different - simplifying just two transactions for a much larger group of users. Those users are department heads and senior managers, and pretty much all they do on SAP is release purchase orders and billing blocks on sales orders. I started by looking at the transactions to do this and at how they might be simplified. However, one thing I learned from the first project was that our users very much appreciate the "launchpad" design where the transactional nature of SAP is hidden as much as possible. In many cases tasks are carried out directly in the launchpad screen without ever being aware that an SAP transaction is being executed at all. So I changed my approach and looked at how to do the same for PO and SO releases. So far I've just implemented PO release, but I think the design works well and hides many aspects of SAP that our infrequent users find confusing. First, everything happens on the launchpad screen, and second, there are no release codes in sight.
Before I describe the implementation, here's what it looks like. I've skipped the login process and we pick it up just as the initial launchpad is being rendered. On the left side is a list of all the POs waiting for release for the current user. You can push a button to see more detail over on the right hand side, and if the PO has multiple lines you can scroll through the line item details. If necessary you can also hit the "Display" button to see the whole PO (using ME23N). Once you're happy that the PO is OK, you hit the "Release" button and you are asked for confirmation before the PO is released. After release, the left hand list is updated.
The most complex part of this implementation was the scrolling list on the left. The implementation of this is described in detail in this blog - Creating a custom table in Personas. It isn't pretty but it does work well. You may notice that the table scrolls more slowly in the video in that blog than it does in the video in this one. My new implementation uses an interesting technique to improve performance - I'll describe it in a separate blog. This table contains all of the POs that can be released by any release code the use has access to. I use the "OnCreateHandler" property of the screen to build the list automatically when the screen is rendered, so that when a user logs in the list is right there waiting for them. You'll notice through this entire process the user needs to have no knowledge of release codes, or that they even exist.
Once a PO is selected and the details displayed, things get a lot more straightforward. The details for the selected PO use the quick lookup technique to run ME23N and copy the necessary details back to the launchpad screen. Scrolling through the line item details again calls ME23N for each scrolling action. I'm actually considering replacing that section with a second table of line item details. I think that will perform better and the users will prefer it. The right hand side will then effectively be a cut down ME23N. The "Display" button obviously runs ME23N to display the selected PO. Coming back via the "Home" button is interesting. You may have noticed that if you navigate away from a screen and then return, any custom fields you have added to that screen typically lose their values. In this case, since the "details" section on the launchpad contains values that originally came from ME23N, I simply make the "Home" button copy them all back!
To achieve the "Are you sure?" effect, I have a text label consisting entirely of spaces and positioned in front of the Yes/No buttons so that it hides them. The "Release" button simply changes the value of that label to be blank, revealing the buttons. The release operation is carried out by the "Yes" button. Here I use a WebRFC to carry out the release but scripting ME28 to release a specific PO should be a simpler option.
This is still a work on progress. It hasn't yet had any significant end-user input and that is important. As a result the final version may well be a little different from this. And obviously I still need to add SO billing block release to the bottom half of this screen. I'm hoping it can be done in a similar way.
