Hello all,
i tried to configure an URL for SAP Screen Personas starting with start mode full screen using the link
http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display//Img/Personas/+2.0+SP02+features.
But when I try to insert &Fullscreen=true into the link it does not run.
There is a picture in the documentation, which should show an example URL, but ist not human readable because the optical resolution is very low.
Is there somebody who can give me a readable example.?
Thanks in advance and
Best reagarss
We have just completed upgrade to ECC6.0 eph4.
We are evaluating new workstion build to depoly windows 7 and office 2010. We are installing SAP GUI 7.2 patch 1 on the workstations. While testing the build, we are finding that when creating/changing texts in VD02 and IW52 long text. That the editor defaults to the line editor. How can we change editor to call Word 2010? From reading SAP notes, SAP 7.20 supports windows 7 and office 2010. Is there a parameter or transaction that needs to be set for the user?
Please advise.
Thanks

with updating SAPGUI 7.40 to PL-05

Hi guys,
we are having thousands of clients (desktops, laptops, etc) in our company around the world with no global saplogon.ini. Even the desktop support is organized by country or company unit, so not really an easy way and no way to just have one globally.
We need to move SAP systems and therefore we need to changes the entries in the saplogon.ini by system ID, like new server name, saprouter string etc.
Is there an easy way (tool, script, link, etc) to push such changes on to the client by system ID, even when the local windows user is not having local admin rights?
Actually we are using the GUI version 7.40 and 7.30.
Thanks for any tips or hints.
Cheers Stefan

All,
I have flavor to create/change/display Items for Contract. Following tabs are currently shown (T-code VA41/VA42/VA43)
1) Sales A
2) Sales B
3) Contract Data
4) Conditions
5) Partners
6) Additional Data A
7) Additional Data B
There is a need to call one of the Text Element which is normally in tab Texts by giving a button in Additional Data B.
I have a flavor to click the button in Additional Data B which will take me to the right place for Text Tab.
The problem is when I click on BACK button (Standard SAP Back) to come back to Additional Data B but i get an error as below. The confusing thing is, I dont have any script on Standard BACK button...not sure from where it is reading this script.
Hi,
I'm new to SAP Screen Personas.
I have a requirement to simplify the XK03 transaction, supplier management transaction. This transaction has multiple screens and the user would like a number of fields from each screen on one screen.
I have managed to do this by scripting to grab the text in the fields and then transferring this to its corresponding fields (which I have added to the new screen to show the text of the original fields) but when the user wants to edit the fields, the info is not saved in its original fields. Also I cannot transfer the context icon of each field. Is it possible to move to field and its context icon on to one screen?
for example, xk03 - the first screen shows the basic info about a supplier, the next screen shows the payment info tax etc... I want to merge all this on to the first screen. I have grabbed the payment and tax field values and put them into the fields which I added to the first screen. however, we cannot edit this fields so that the values are changed in the original fields.also these fields have a context icon for user to select a range of possible values that can be entered. how can I transfer the original field and its context icon to the first screen?
Sorry if its confusing
Thanks
Adnan
I am facing one problem On Linux Operating system. Need your valuable suggestions.
Through the Smart form one print layout has developed, Some users are using. While taking the printout. It is asking the output devices.
Please have a look on below attached image.
When ever i select lp04 and Print copies 4 ,then 4 copies(means 4 Set = 1 set equal to 2 copies) will be generated. This is happening on Windows operating system. There is no problem. We are used Sap gui for windows 7.40
But recently in one system. Admin has installed In Linux. In Linux They installed Sap Gui For Java.
But At the time of taking print out if they Choose Lp04 and Select No of copy as 4 , Output is showing Still 2 Only. (Default print is having 2 Only )
If the same user is login in other machine having windows operating system, with same user. Everything is fine. But problem is at linux only
My question is there any user setting for output devices In Linux. Need Your valuable suggestions.
Hi,
I have recorded a script for "Attachment List" option of General Object Services (GOS) menu in ME54N. The script simply contains two lines:
// The script recorder will ignore event 'MenuAccess' for control object type 'GuiButton'.
session.findById("wnd[0]/titl/shellcont/tbar[0]/dropmenuGOS_TOOLBOX/shell/itemGOS_VIEW_ATTA").select();
when i execute the script, i get following error:
Received "control not found" on batch step: {"post":"action/4/wnd[0]/titl/shellcont/tbar[0]/dropmenuGOS_TOOLBOX/shell/itemGOS_VIEW_ATTA"}
The complete batch was:
[{"post":"action/4/wnd[0]/titl/shellcont/tbar[0]/dropmenuGOS_TOOLBOX/shell/itemGOS_VIEW_ATTA"},{"get":"state/ur/"}]
After a lot of analyses, i have figured out that the script fails because the script recorder is not recording the click of the GOS menu button. Instead, it says that "MenuAccess" event is ignored (as stated in the first line of the script). I have searched a lot in the forums, but i could not find a way to trigger this "MenuAccess" event. if i first click on GOS menu and then execute the script, it does not give any error!
It is also noteworthy that i had a script in Personas 2.0 (in a different server) for the same requirement and it is working like a charm.
System is ECC 6.0 with EHP 7. Personas 3.0 SP02.
Snapshot of the personas script editor is attached.
Looking forward for helpful responses.

Here is the error message I get.
But when I try to log in it says:
I would like to have at least 30 minutes of uninterrupted service as it is affecting my learning.
Through RZ11 I see the following values maintained:
rdisp/keepalive – 1200
rdisp/keepalive_timeout – 60
rdisp/gui_auto_logout -0
Here’s some additional info if it may help:
Please share resolution steps.

HI Experts
Is there any way to test the performance of the script in the Personas flavor?
SAP GUI is SAP's universal client for accessing SAP functionality in SAP applications such as - SAP ERP, SAP Business Suite (SAP CRM, SAP SCM and SAP PLM), SAP Business Intelligence and so on. SAP GUI functions like a browser. It gets information from the SAP server like what, where, when and how, to display contents in its window. All members of the SAP GUI family have unique attributes that make them especially suited for different user environments. SAP GUI comes in the following three different flavors:
SAP GUI for Windows
SAP GUI for Windows is an implementation especially designed for the Windows operating system, providing a Windows-like user experience and integration with other applications, based on OLE interfaces or ActiveX controls.
SAP GUI for the Java Environment
SAP GUI for the Java environment is a unified SAP frontend for multiple platforms. It is based on a platform-independent architecture and Java implementation. As a major benefit, it provides access to SAP applications that are based on Control-Enabling and therefore used to be reserved for Windows users in the past. Please, note that SAP GUI for Java is also available on Windows.
SAP GUI for HTML
SAP GUI for HTML automatically maps the screen elements in SAP transactions to HTML using HTML Business functions available within the SAP Internet Transaction Server. A web browser is sufficient to access almost all transactions. Please note: Since SAP GUI for HTML is an application running on the ITS, you find corresponding information on the ITS page.
You can find detailed information on the different SAP GUI types under the following links:

General Information
Frontend Network Requirements (SMP Login required!)
Distributed landscapes today lead to the fact that an increasing number of users connect to a central system from dispersed sites with varying degrees of available bandwidth. As a consequence, user access is through local area network (LAN) and wide area network WAN (dial-up, frame relay, Internet, etc.). This paper contains a description of SAP's frontend characteristics from both a LAN and a WAN perspective.
Please note that this paper does not discuss server-to-server traffic or printing.
