Personas 3.0/GUI for HTML Control Not Found Error

Personas gurus,

 

After applying the latest notes and kernel patch (742, patch 321) I am getting the error below.  I applied the notes and patch hoping the promised "tab order" functionality would be working but that does not seem to be the case and now I am seeing an error which I cannot see any way to correct via scripting.

 

A running Personas script could have caused this error. Please check your active scripts.

I do not reference this control ID in any of my scripts.  It appears to be the item overview table control and I have modified the order of the fields and made fields invisible, etc. via personas but this did not result in any issues prior.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Personas: 2 flavor for the same transaction how to choose 1 automatically

Hello,

 

I've build 2 different flavors for the same transaction (QM01) with scripting inside.

From a menu, I would like to have 2 button which jump to QM01 with a specific flavor.

I looked everywhere but can't find a way to put the selected flavor behind the menu button.

When I use the command Switch.idflavors, it's called before the QM01.

 

How to achieve to call the QM01 and then switch flavors automatically?

Merge or Append a ini file with new updated ini file

Hi All,

 

We are working on enabling SSO based on Kerberos as an authentication method. So we are inprocess of enabling SNC settings in SAP GUI logon pad.

 

We will update this SNC settings one of our machine sapgui logon pad and share the ini file with our OS team, who roll to all machines in one go.

 

Global ini file has the following entries

         ECC - Global new

         SRM - Global new

         CRM - Global new

         MDM - Global new

 

Local ini file in user laptop (can be different in each users machine)

         ECC - Global old

         SRM - Global old

         CRM - Global old

         MDM - Global old

         APO - Local

         SOL - Local

 

Final Requirement after rolling out our global ini file

          ECC - Global new

          SRM - Global new

          CRM - Global new

          MDM - Global new

          APO - Local

          SOL - Local

 

when we do roll out, all global ini file entries should update the only the global entries and leave the local entries(nothing should happened to local entries in any users machine)

 

Can you please help how to achieve this solution, if any one done it, please share your experience / solution here.

SAP Java GUI copy > paste

Hi!

It is not possible to copy text from certain areas with Java GUI, for example, a help text, which opens when F1 is pressed. Is there any work-around?

Unable to export large tables from SAP into excel 2013

Hi Team,

 

We are facing an issue while exporting large tables from SAP into Excel.Error: List Object is too large to be exported.
The current version of Office used is Office 2013.
SAP Version used: SAP Frontend 730 PL5

 

The users had no issues while exporting the documents using Excel 2007.
The issue started after the rollout of Office 2013.

 


No changes have been done on SAP side.

 


Could you please let us know what could possibly be the issue here?

Persona Scripts breaking when connected to a monitor

All scripts work completely fine when done on the laptop but when connected to a monitor and done on that, the scripts seem to break.

Does anyone know of, or has anyone had trouble like this in the past? Something to do with the screen resolution breaking flavours for example?

 

Any help is Appreciated.

Personas 3.0: Will it be possible to split the screen in Personas?

Hi Personas 3.0 experts,

 

I have a requirement from a UI design, where the screen needs to be split into 3 horizontal zones - the upper zone is used as a "static area" to display the same result from a tcode (eg a work order), the middle zone will hold several buttons, and the lower zone will show the result when a button in the middle zone is pressed (eg, display a table).

 

Does anyone know if that is possible to split the screen in such a manner in Personas 3.0? Thanks.

Closing window with scripting

Hi,

 

I have 'Fiorinized' the MIGO transaction with personas & added it to the Fiori Launchpad.

So far so good.

The only issue i have now is the back button.

 

In most tutorials they use the standard back button & change the icon to a more Fiori look.

The problem is that when you click the back button you end up in the start transaction of SAP (SMEN).

 

The wanted behavior should be that the (new) tab where the MIGO was openend, is closed.

 

I tried through scripting with window.close & a few other variants, but I don't get it working.

 

Any ideas on how to tackle this?

SAP Screen Personas 2.0: Script error, most likely because of Screen Personas dysfunctionality and no idea how to handle?

Hello everybody,

 

SAP Screen Personas 2.0 generate the following script, if I record to open the selection variant-button in ME21N (Document Overwiev on) and select an entry in the DropDown:

Script:

1.step (open DropDown):

Command 'Right click' on the following ID: ses[0]/wnd[0]/dockcnt/splitcnt/cell[0][1]/tbar/dropmenuSELECT

 

2.step (select entry in DropDown):

Command 'Select' on ID: ses[0]/wnd[0]/dockcnt/splitcnt/cell[0][1]/tbar/dropmenuSELECT/menuCONTEXT/item0050568E34721ED684ED6153F966022DNEWPO_QUERY

If I insert the recording in a script button and try it immediately, it works fine. But if I leave the transaction and come back, it will not work anymore!

I have an assummption: Maybe the ID from the second step is influenced by the mouse position or something other, because when I make a new recording, the ID will always chance. Here are any examples for an other ID from the second step from other recordings:

If I make the ID shorter, it will not work anymore, or I don't cut it in the right way.

 

I try it with IE and Firefox, we've implented earlier the notes 2194262, 2235274, 2274219 and add in index.html and nwbc.html the line: <param name="source" value="ClientBin/PersonasUI_V1.5.000.xap?version=1.5.120"/>. Newer notes doesn't seem to match this issue.

 

Have everybody an idea how is it possible to insert this step in a script button?

Case of 'Enter' and Status Bar messages

Hi all experts around!

 

I have two questions:

 

1) How to override in Screen Personas 3.0 SP02 behavior of Enter key? In general it goes to subsequent screen, but as I have custom mandatory fields on the first screen, I want to to display warning message if those have not been filled.

 

2) How to handle Status Bar messages in the script if the situation is like this: from the SMEN screen user has to ability to check if tax number for vendor already exists and show some basic info of that vendor. So script button goes to FK03 enters tax number in the search field, but in some cases (when vendor is not yet confirmed) a StatusBar message appears and then there is a need to press Enter one more time. We tried to do it with if statement indicating if there is some text in the StatusBar, then Enter is pressed one more time, but it seems that it is not working that way. Script presses Enter double times in both cases (either there is StatusBar message or not) , so if vendor is already confirmed, then script pushes transaction code already to the next screen (from there it cannot take the necessary information) therefore it stops and doesn't bring back info on SMEN screen.

 

3) and in general with if statements in Personas - is it meant to be like that if I specify in the statement that some field should be hidden depending one one value entered, then it remains hidden even after different value is entered?

Personas 2.0 SP3 -> changes to flavor not reflecting for users

Hello all,

 

I had created few flavors and assigned them to User Groups. This User Groups has all the users.

 

I made some changes to the above flavors and asked users to test it. They are not able to see the changes (i can see the changes). Do we need to do anything else here, I am under the impression that, once you share the flavors with the User Group, any changes done should be reflected for the users.

bringing second page's line item block of va01 to first page

Hi All,

 

Good morning.

 

i am working on Personas 2.0 in our system. and i am working with VA01.

i know that we can merge tabs. can we merge pages? page 2 data in page1 or page 1 data to page2 ?

example....After entering into VA01, i would like to bring GRID of line item block from Page2 to first page of VA01. is this feasible?

Difference between GUI scripting and LSMW

Dear,

 

When reading about GUI scripting I found the following quote: "Change existing master or transactional data, create master data in mass or even just data conversion for certain tasks that LSMW can’t handle." (source).

 

What I am looking for now is what exactly it is that LSMW cannot handle but GUI scripting can.

Personas 3.0 "Control not found" error in script for GOS menu item selection

Hi,

I have recorded a script for "Attachment List" option of General Object Services (GOS) menu in ME54N. The script simply contains two lines:

 

 

 

// The script recorder will ignore event 'MenuAccess' for control object type 'GuiButton'.

when i execute the script, i get following error:

The complete batch was:

After a lot of analyses, i have figured out that the script fails because the script recorder is not recording the click of the GOS menu button. Instead, it says that "MenuAccess" event is ignored (as stated in the first line of the script). I have searched a lot in the forums, but i could not find a way to trigger this "MenuAccess" event. if i first click on GOS menu and then execute the script, it does not give any error!


It is also noteworthy that i had a script in Personas 2.0 (in a different server) for the same requirement and it is working like a charm.


System is ECC 6.0 with EHP 7. Personas 3.0 SP02.

Scripts missing from flavor

Hello,

 

I was working on a screen flavor, and all of a sudden, the scripts related to the flavor was missing.

 

I had nearly 8 script files for the screen personas flavor, and all of them are missing.

 

Any idea what happened ? and is there a way to restore those script codes ?

 

P.S : I do not have a version for this flavor.

Scripting to open FB03 Services for Object

Is it possible to create a script that will open "Services for Object" icon?

I wish to click on "Attachments" and view the PDF file.

 

When I am in scripting mode, as soon as I click on the icon, it kicks me out of scripting mode and I cannot get back into the flavor it edit it, or do any scripting. I need to close the browser session and log back in.

Personas Flavor Rendering Incorrectly for Some Users

I'm running Personas 3.0, kernel 742, patch level 413. We went to 413 about a week ago having been on 327. When users log on, the Personas flavor for FV50 renders incorrectly - but only for SOME users. All users have the same authorizations, work roles, etc. In addition, the users with errors receive a "control serialization failed" error message - but only after the user attempts performing a task in the flavor - like simulate, or save. As far as I can tell, everything was working fine prior to the 413 patch.

Help with scripting needed

Hi, i have questions regarding scripting in transaction ABAW second screen when we post some new amount for the first time to the asset after pressing Enter we have to confirm 3 pop-up windows in a row, and we would like to do that with the script. We tried to do with the if and source .visible parameter where inside confirm button is pressed 3 times.

 

It work for the first time after we press Enter, but if we change the amount and press Enter again - the pop-up shows anyway.

Personas: Scrollbar width in a table

Hi there,

 

I am in Tcode IW31. Some of the users complain that the scroll bar is too tiny and would like it be of little more width. Is there a way I can increase the width?

 

If not, If I create a custom button and when clicked, is there an API available, which can scroll through the table?

Personas: Transporting

Hello,

 

I have two clients in Dev. 100 for developments and 200 for unit testing.

Client 100 does not have any data, so none of the Tcodes work there. So for creating various flavors, we used 200 itself.

 

But 200 does not allow creating transports for obvious reasons (it is not for development).

 

So how do I transport these flavors now? I think this is a common scenario in most customers. Any comments are appreciated.
