SAP Logon cannot be started

Hi,


One of our users can not start his SAP logon (version 720.3.12) and gets following error:

 

"

SAP Logon cannot be started

 

Error in local configuration files:

 

Tree structure file

C:\Users\xxxxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common\SapLogonTree.xml connot be parsed

For detailed error message, refer to trace file...

"

 

Errormessage in die trc file :

The user tried to uninstall and reinstall the SAP GUI but the problem remains.

We checked the SapLogonTree.xml file but this is empty.

 

Can someone help?

Mouse Scroll does not work in graphical view in Network CN22/CJ20N

I recently switched from Windows XP to Windows 7 and now my mouse will not scroll in the graphical view of CN22/CJ20N.  I have the same gui installed: 730.

 

The scroll would only work on the XP machine when I was running the Logitech Setpoint 4.00 software.  Under the same software I rolled back the drivers to standard Microsoft drivers and it still worked.  I also used different mice (brand, wired, bluetooth) and it would function. When I turned off the Logitech Setpoint software it would no longer function.  I upgraded to a newer version of Logitech Setpoint 4.80 and the mouse scroll did not function.

 

It seems that only Setpoint 4.00 works and I cannot find nor do they have 4.00 for Windows 7.

 

What can I do to get the mouse scroll to work in the graphical view of CN22/CJ20N on my Windows 7 Machine?

Personas, notifications, tasks and GOS

Hi,

 

I've come across another problem wiht Personas and GOS using notifications, it seems that when a notification does not have tasks associated with it GOS works ok, but when the notification has tasks, the GOS feature no longer functions correctly. This happens with a custom flavour or with the basic view.

 

When a notification has tasks and the GOS button is pressed, what should happen is a popup appears to choose either the notification itself or the tasks, when you make a choice the dialog for accessign the GOS features appears.

 

What happens with Personas is that the popup I mentioned above doesn't appear, then when you try to back out of the transaction, it does, but selecting either the notification or the task in the popup simply returns you to the notifcation screen.

I've logged this on OSS ... Can anyone confirm this as a bug?

SAPGUI 7.30 Patchlevel 8 cl_gui_html_viewer Problem

Hi,

 

with the (currently newest) SAPGUI 730 PL 8 and IE 11 we are expecting Problems with our Application.

 

We run a BSP Page in a dialogbox containing Control cl_gui_html_viewer.

 

The BSP is not working with SAGUI 730 PL 8.

 

I found out that something must have been changed between SAPGUI 730 PL 6 and PL 8.

 

 

The BSP is still working with SAPGUI 730 PL 6.

 

When we compare the result of the JavaScript Command alert(navigator.userAgent); between IE native and cl_gui_html_viewer we get the following Output with SAPGUI 730 PL6:

But if we compare the result with SAPGUI 730 PL 8 we get a difference (and the site is not working in sapgui but in IE).

With SAPGUI 730 PL 7 we also got problems.

I guess it is a bug in SAPGUI 730 PL 7/8 in the ocx Control.

 

Edit:

The Problem not only affects our BSP but also public sites.

Request for SAP Gui for Window 7 64 bit and Office 2010 64 bit

Dear All,

Is there any way I can download the latest SAP Gui that can cater for both Window 7 64 bits and Office 2010 64 bit?

I tried the latest 7.20 patch 7 but was not able to use the BW reports in the BW Browser.

 

Whenever I double - clicked a report in the BW Browser, it always prompt me the below errors.

 

Compile Error:

The code in this project must be updated for use on 64-bit systems.

Please review and update Declare statements and then mark them with the PtrSafe attribute.

Suppress popup message about Personas storage size increase?

Is it possible to get rid of the popup message appearing after logon that asks for storage space increase?

It would be also great to disable the popup coming from Silverlight when the user wants to use the clipboard and SL asks for permission to do so... but I don't think that's going to work. However the above originates from Personas itself, so I figure there should be a way to not show it.

Sap is installed in windows 2003 server (Vmware) now how I can install and link ....Need Help !!

Hello All,

 

Main OS :  Windows 8.1 Pro

Virtual OS (Vmware): Windows server 2003

SAP is installed on Windows server 2003

 

I am able to work with sap on Windows 2003 but the log on pad is 640. I want to install the logon pad in windows 8 ... so that I can start SAP from there..

can any one tell me how I can do that..

How to handle hot spot in table

Hi,

 

I have a table with hot spot, when i click it a screen will be called , there I have one more button when I press this button my task will be completed.

 

can any body help to complete this task in one go through personas. means when i press on the hot spot remaining screen should not appear.

History is not working sometimes

Hi,

I always use history function, but sometimes in the same session new gui windows are not support history. Backspace or space key is not working. For example, now i have 2 gui windows in the same session, one of them has history but the other has not.

I enabled localDB trace and try to get history data in SE11 screen and getting this error:

 

Local DB:    CMyEdit::OnKeyDown: Field text length not supported: RSRD1-TBMA_VAL 16

 

 

 

Is there any idea?

Remove SAP Screen Persona, Logout

Hi,

 

We have integrated SAP Screen Persona in Portal. USing shotlink have assigned couple of tcodes to test users.

When we access it from Portal we see  SAP Screen Persona title and logout option for flavours assigned with rendering access.

Screenshot attached Persona_Top_Level.png.

 

Can somebody suggest how can we remove the top level from flavor assigned in Portal.

Accessing VA01 tcode directly from Persona URL

We have integrated Personas in Portal using bsp iview with persona url http(s)://host:port/bc/bsp/persos/mainapp/index.html?sap-client=XXX.

 

Please let me know how can i have a user access only VA01 tcode with flavor assigned.

sap gui 730 for java login error

hi, guys

 

i installed sap gui 730 for java in suse11.2. and login client 000 as user DDIC

 

login error .

 

database inconsistency: start transaction SICK

 

the error probably occurred when installing the r /3 system

 

Error text of the first reported error:

 

os release linux 3.0.13-0.27-default #1 SMP wed feb 15 13:33;49 UTC 2012(D73692B) x86_64  is not supported with this kernel (720)

 

 

any solutions?

saprtf. ChighEdit::GetStyleUserData: Exception in...

Hi,

a user is changing a textfield in VA -> doc header -> Texts.

Sometimes he get an error:

Error Title: saprtf

Error Message: ChighEdit::GetStyleUserData: Exception in

 

We can't reproduce it.

We use SAP GUI 7.10 PL 15 installed on Citrix Xen Servers.

We also tried it with a localy installed 7.20 PL 8 but the problem is still the same.

 

SM21 & ST22 don't show anything.

 

any idea somebody?

SAP Logon Pad Restrictions

We have SAP Lgon Pad 720 installed. At my company they have locked the ability for a user to change the theme and to add/modify/delete a new SAP system connection or shortcut. I work in the SAP security space but for the life of me I can't figure out the security implications of granting users this authorization. Can someone please explain what vulnerabilities there are with giving users this ability? I think it would be a useful feature to have.

 

How are these options restricted within the gui?
