Deactivate SAPGui security notification when taking a screenshot

$

Hi Gurus,

I have enhanced the popup notification to attach it a screenshot of the top front transaction used by the user. To do this, I'm calling the method CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>GET_SCREENSHOT.

Everything is working fine except that I always get a popup asking me if I allow or deny the server to take a screenshot of the active SAP window ? (see attached picture).

Is there a way to not get this popup and always allow the screenshot ?

From business perspective, it is really boring to ask user each time to agree because we now that he will always agree.

sap screen personas - how to navigate to another transaction and come back

$

Hi All,

I have a scenario(ME31K) wherein I have to input(link) document(CV01N document) in a pop up screen.

If the document is already there well and good, user can pick it from F4, else they will have to go to CV01N create document and then come back here.

In order to make it less complicated I have created a button in the pop up which takes you to CV01N, but the problem is once we create the document how to come back to this particular screen itself?

Is there a way to achieve this?

Your help is much appreciated.

Regards,

Karthikeya

P.S: Hope this is clear if not I can explain along with screen shots.

SAP Personas - SAP Table Control

In SAP table control, when you copy and paste from Excel, the copy of the no. of rows is limited by what you see on screen. I am not sure
whether Personas can get around this problem. Your views are very much appreciated.

I know we can create Excel upload. But I like to make use of personas if I can.

Many Thanks.

SAP GUI Family

Universal Clients for Accessing SAP Systems

SAP GUI is SAP's universal client for accessing SAP functionality in SAP applications such as - SAP ERP, SAP Business Suite (SAP CRM, SAP SCM and SAP PLM), SAP Business Intelligence and so on. SAP GUI functions like a browser. It gets information from the SAP server like what, where, when and how, to display contents in its window. All members of the SAP GUI family have unique attributes that make them especially suited for different user environments. SAP GUI comes in the following three different flavors:

SAP GUI for Windows
SAP GUI for Windows is an implementation especially designed for the Windows operating system, providing a Windows-like user experience and integration with other applications, based on OLE interfaces or ActiveX controls.

SAP GUI for the Java Environment

SAP GUI for the Java environment is a unified SAP frontend for multiple platforms. It is based on a platform-independent architecture and Java implementation. As a major benefit, it provides access to SAP applications that are based on Control-Enabling and therefore used to be reserved for Windows users in the past. Please, note that SAP GUI for Java is also available on Windows.

SAP GUI for HTML

SAP GUI for HTML automatically maps the screen elements in SAP transactions to HTML using HTML Business functions available within the SAP Internet Transaction Server. A web browser is sufficient to access almost all transactions. Please note: Since SAP GUI for HTML is an application running on the ITS, you find corresponding information on the ITS page.
You can find detailed information on the different SAP GUI types under the following links:

Installation

SAP GUI for Windows

This documentation describes how to install and distribute the SAP front-end software on Windows with the SAP Setup front-end deployment and software management solution. The benefits of using SAP Setup are that you can insert new SAP front-end components on to an existing installation server and deploy multiple components. In addition, SAP Setup offers new diagnostic and check tools for better support. The key processes are wizard-driven and you have new and powerful command-line parameters. Also, it is possible to trigger an unattended automatic workstation update.
This document provides an overview and further information about the frontend installation and distribution tool SAP Setup.

SAP GUI for Java

SAP GUI for Java 7. 30 Download and Installation Information
This archive contains among others the SAP GUI for Java installation information.

SAP GUI for HTML/ITS

SAP@Web Installation Guide (ITS 6.20)
SAP GUI for HTML is running on the ITS, therefore the ITS installation information is relevant in this case. Since the ITS is integrated in SAP NW as of Release 2004, you do not need to install SAP GUI for HTML/ITS separately on systems as of this release. It comes with  the package. For the non-integrated, standalone ITS, you find installation information in the SAP@Web Installation Guide for ITS 6.20 which describes how to install the standalone SAP Internet Transaction Server (ITS 6.20) and related tools on released Windows and Linux platforms.

Platform Support and Maintenance Strategy

You find information on the supported platforms in the Support Matrix for SAP GUI for Windows, the Support Matrix for SAP GUI for Java or in  SAP GUI section of the Product Availability Matrix (PAM).

General Information
Frontend Network Requirements (SMP Login required!)
Distributed landscapes today lead to the fact that an increasing number of users connect to a central system from dispersed sites with varying degrees of available bandwidth. As a consequence, user access is through local area network (LAN) and wide area network WAN (dial-up, frame relay, Internet, etc.). This paper contains a description of SAP's frontend characteristics from both a LAN and a WAN perspective.
Please note that this paper does not discuss server-to-server traffic or printing.

Hi All,

I am trying to find out if it is possible to logon to SAP GUI using the user alias field(field name below user id "USERALIAS") in SU01.

Based on the links below, it looks like it is only possible to login to the Portal with "Logonalias" and not in SAP GUI.

May be this is a new feature with SAP GUI 730, I don't know can you please help me clarify this.

Run Time Errormessage Type X MESSAGE ID 'CNDP' TYPE 'X' NUMBER 006 RAISING CNTL_ERROR

$

Hi ,

Users receiving short dumps:  Message_Type_X

Users I talked to were trying to open SAP Inbox.  But there are A LOT of short dumps for the same Message_Type_X  today.

I'm worried this might be a bigger issue than just one user.

ST22 Dump Details

Short text
The current application triggered a termination with a short dump.

What happened?
The current application program detected a situation which really
should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).

What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.

To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
    administrator.

Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.

Error analysis
    Short text of error message:
Control Framework : Error processing control

    Long text of error message:
     Diagnosis
An error occurred when the system tried to process the commands
from the Automation Queue on the presentation server.
There are several possible reasons for this:
         - The installation of the SAP GUI on the presentation server is
         faulty or obsolete.
         - There is an error in the application program
         - There is an error in the SAPGUI or an integrated control
     Procedure
         1. Make sure that you have imported the appropriate Support
Package, the current kernel, and GUI patch for the release of your
         system
         2. Check whether the error occurs locally on one or a few PCs, or

generally on all PCs. Note whether the error only occurs for some
users, for example because of a specific Customizing setting.
If it only occurs locally, this suggests an installation problem
with the PC. Check the installation; if necessary, reinstall the
software. In the dump, search for the SY-MSGLI field, since it may
point to the cause of the error.
         3. Activate the Automation Trace (in accordance with SAP Note
         158985).
4.Start the transaction and continue until the screen immediately
         before the dump.
         5. From the System -> Utilities menu, choose Autom. Queue,
         Synchronous Processing.
The status bar of the GUI displays the text:
            "Automation synchron flush mode on"
         6. If you now proceed with the application, the short dump will
display the ABAP call that caused the error; the Automation Trace
will contain the error on the presentation server.
         7. If necessary, load the short dump and trace files on to
sapservX, so that SAP can analyze them.

    Technical information about the message:
    Message class....... "CNDP"
    Number.............. 006
    Variable 1.......... " "
    Variable 2.......... " "
    Variable 3.......... " "
    Variable 4.......... " "

How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
    -

If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
    keywords:

    "MESSAGE_TYPE_X" " "
    "SAPLOLEA" or "LOLEAU02"
    "AC_SYSTEM_FLUSH"

If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error

notification to SAP, include the following information:

1. The description of the current problem (short dump)

To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".

2. Corresponding system log

Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)".

3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
   In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".

4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.

I have made script buttons and also a drop down list. Is there a way to make the drop down list act like buttons to take me to specific transactions like the script buttons? Example I have buttons for Create Material, Change Material, and Display Material and instead of having 3 seperate buttons I would like to make those into one dropdown.

Integrating SAP Screen Personas into SAP Portal

This document describes how a transaction edited using SAP Screen Personas can be integrated into the SAP portal.

Step 1: Create a short URL for the flavor/transaction you’d like to render in the portal

Go to personas admin transaction/n/persos/admin_ui

PersonasPortal1.png

Click on ShortLink Maintenance, provide all the required details and click on the button “ Get Short Link”.

PersonasPortal2.png

Step 2: copy the link value in the short url

Make a note of the generated URL which will look similar to the following. Copy the query string from the url and save the link value which is the the highlighted text below.

http://<servername>:<port>/sap/bc/bsp/persos/mainapp/index.html?link=00505680028C1EE2AF9A66B9514B1059&sap-client=800

Step 3: create a BSP iView using iView template in the portal.

Provide the appropriate name for your iView

PersonasPortal3.png

Select definition Type of BSP as “Application”

PersonasPortal4.png

In the following step – only change the values of System and Application Parameters. All other values remain as seen in the screen shot below.

System: Please select the system you created your flavor in (I am assuming the ECC system is created in the portal. If not reach out to you your portal administrator)

Application Parameter – paste the link value you saved in step 2 “link=00505680028C1EE2AF9A66B9514B1059

Hello

I have installed Personas 2.0 on my test system, and finished most of the configuration .  The Sliverlight component is working fine now. However, when I switch to the configuration of the html component, I met an issue. I don't know how to start the html version of Personas.

As I find in forum , the service node for html version in SICF is webgui as illustrated in the following screenshot.

   sicf.jpg

however, after I start the service node, I got the following screen which I don't think is Personas.

webgui.jpg

did I start the wrong service node? if I am then which one is the correct.

Here I also attached the configuration I did for html version of Personas:

1.role with authorization object /PERS/AOBJ has been assigned to the logon user. And the authorizaiton object has been given with full authorization.

2.added webgui?sap-ie=edge&… while accessing .
