Of late, the organisation I am attached to, has implemented SAP ISU (SAP GUI 7.10) Easy Access software, This is mainly used in billing & cash collection (electricity) like day to day activities. Being the organization a public sector, it has many offices that are being operated by this software. I know that the version is too old & there is hardly any support for this version. We find some T_Codes to perform different tasks. But the software provides us many extensive details (such as terms, activities, reports etc). Is there any procedure to know the software in details (such as manuals, help books etc)?

"Stay on this Page" "Leave this Page" pops up when using SAP URL?
Has anyone else experience this pop-up message when an SAP URL (www.sap.com) is embedded in a Personas frame??
No problem with non-SAP URL such as from the google.com family.
Same problem persist even in the WTS environment.
I had a quick discussion with Tamas Hoznek today and he experienced the same problem.
Seems to be a recent problem. I already logged an OSS ticket on this.
Thoughts anyone??

Error message when switching SAP screen personas flavors
Hi,
After we made some screen personas flavors, when we switch one flavor to another, we got an error message like "Error: Unexpected behavior has been detected, connection is shut down. Login again."
According to a previous thread,

He said when he upgraded to Personals 2.0 SP01, the problem was solved.
But we are already using the latest version Personals 2.0 SP01 and Silverlight 5.
Does anybody got some solution?

Client specific Logo on Login screen
Hello All,
Presently i am working on a multi-client serevr(1 application 3 client).i upload a logo in SAP Easy Access screen.it is visible in every client but my requirement is to display it for only 1 client i.e 1.Presently as per my idea if we go EXTRA->SETTINGS-> and check the check box(Do not display picture) it will work. but i need some expert advise how to controle this for a particular client.

Doubts with images - SAP Screen Personas
Hi Experts.
I am looking for rules or prerequisites for work (add) with background images (when we try to add this images an error message appears “Invalid Data Provided“) and to call URLs/Webpages in part of the screen transaction (when we add a URL control the flavor is superimposed by the webpage/the webpage do not respect the size of the URL control).

SAP GUI Java 7.3rev4 on OSX - message server config file
This problem has been driving me nuts over the past hour. I am putting correct entries in the message server configuration file, but I get the error when opening the connection dialog on creating a new connection.
I'm using entries like:
SYS:/M/host/S/3200
When the message server file is empty, the connection dialog is fine, but adding one connection string like that results in the error.

Is anyone experienced connectivity issue with SAP GUI (32bit) on Windows 2008R2 64bit? Except base version of 7.3 every Service Pack failing
to connect, Strange thing was it was working with SP5 in WINDOWS 7 64bit.

SAP Screen Personas Screen Id and Control Id overwrite rules
We had a lot of questions about Screen Id and Control Id overwrite rules from our customers. So we did a tutorial session in our Practitioner forum session 10. If you missed it, then this blog will help you understand the overwrite rule mechanism.
Screen Id overwrite rules
When you are using SAP Screen Personas to create a flavor on your business transaction, you might sometimes notice that the screen changes in the flavor suddenly disappear or reappear while navigating across tabs or clicking on expand/collapse buttons etc. This is because Personas uses a combination of "transaction code + program name + screen number" to identify screen changes but due to dynamic design of Dynpro screens the program name or screen number can change within the same transaction. So Personas uses a mechanism of Screen Id overwrite rules to neutralize the program name or screen number change to preserve the screen changes in such cases.
For example, if you go to IW23 transaction and click on page like icon at bottom right corner (you can click on black arrow head to expand if you are not seeing the page icon), you will see the screen information as in the below screen and you can select "Dynpro" to see program name (SAPLIQS0 part) and screen number (7200 part)
If you create a new flavor with background colour as green and save the flavor. When you navigate on screen by clicking on the tabs, you will notice that the background colour stays when you are on the first 4 tabs and also the program name and screen number remains same (SAPLIQS0/7200), but the background colour disappears when you click on "Items" tab and also the screen number changes to 7204
To handle such cases, you need to identify the program name and screen number changes for your business case and then add the Screen Id overwrite entries with a neutral screen number such as "720X" in this case for both the entries as shown below under SPRO -> Cross-Application Component -> SAP Screen Personas -> Maintain Screen ID Overwrite Logic

Control Id overwrite rules
Similar to screen id behaviour, you will sometimes see that the changes done for a particular control disappears or reappears when you are navigating across tabs or clicking on expand/collapse button. This is because the ids of some of the control or its containers are generated dynamically based on program or sometimes even system id and client.So Personas uses mechanism of Control Id overwrite rule to neutralize control id of such control and all its sub controls to preserve the screen changes.
Control id can be seen in properties window of Personas editor by selecting the control when you are editing any flavor. You can copy the control id by clicking on it
For example, in ME21n, if you create a flavor with header panel expanded and item overview panel collapsed and set the background colour of item dropdown box to orange and save the flavor. When you navigate on screen by collapsing the header and expanding item overview, you will notice that the item dropdown background colour disappears
when you check the control id of "Item" dropdown with header panel expanded but item overview panel collapsed, it would be

You can notice that the values differ above where highlighted in bold.
To handle such cases, you must identify such control id changes for your business case and then add Control Id overwrite entry with neutral control id under /n/persos/admin_ui -> General Actions -> Maintain Control Id Overwrite Logic as shown below. here, using regular expression to define original control id helps Personas to find and replace the control id even for any child controls for that control.

If you notice a similar behaviour for any of your transaction then you can check our note#1999747 for the required overwrite rules. If you don't find a rule for your transaction, then we recommend you to log a message to check with us if new overwrite rules are required for that transaction.
Please note that any new addition or modification of screen id or control id overwrite entries requires re-creation of flavor, so we recommend you to identify and add the required overwrite entries before you start with your flavor creation.

I have received the above error while schedule the backup in SAP Drive 1
While scheduling , we have selected the device name as R3DUMP0 ( Drive 1) in SAP level but the backup is happening in Drive 2 (R3DUMP1) tape in Tape library.
Please suggest to resolve this issue.

Stange issue with SAP GUi 730
Is anyone else observed below issue with SAP GUi 730 (any patch)
If you select User specified system and enter
1:Application Server
2:System No.
Then even if you enter wrong SID (say XYZ) then also SAP logon opens system with application server name and System no.
Basically it does not check SID at all which is not secure way.
Sometimes user might enter production server name and system no and end up login in to production envirnoment\

SAP Screen Personas article in SAP Insider magazine
Have you seen the latest (2014 April-May-June) issue of SAP Insider magazine? The cover story is “How SAP is Reinventing the User Experience, “ an exclusive interview with Sam Yen, SAP’s Global Head of Design and User Experience.
In addition, there is an article on SAP Screen Personas. It starts with the cost of poor usability and discusses how design thinking and user-centered design can improve the user experience. How to embed Google Maps into a Personas flavor?
A potentially good use case for external Web content in a Personas flavor is when an address should be shown on an embedded map. For instance, the location of a customer or vendor can appear on the map together with other data belonging to the master record. The following steps will explain how to do this.
Let's assume a scenario where you have the address details of an equipment on the screen and you want to show the corresponding Google Map in transaction IE03.
In order to include Google Maps in your flavor, you have to use the embed API provided by Google. Follow this link and obtain an API key from Google. This is necessary to make calls to the API.
Create a text box in your flavor which will be used for the complete address string, prepared for Google Maps use. This field should later be hidden of course.
Also add a script button - this will construct the address from the screen fields and invoke the Google Maps API.
Define an HTML viewer in your flavor with the following URL:
https://www.google.com/maps/embed/v1/place?key=your_API_key&q={1}
{1} will point to the address text box field you just created. The result should look like this:
Then in your script, copy the fields containing the address info into variables:
Next step is to concatenate the address fields so you end up with the complete address in one string. This is what will be interpreted by the map API.
This example is for a US address and is pretty straightforward. For other countries, if the country name is not already available in a screen field, you may have to use some additional logic or call a WebRFC in the backend to convert the country ISO code to the name or whatever else is necessary to prepare the address so that Google Maps will understand it.
Simply use a JavaScript step to build the address and format it according to the requirements of Google Maps. This means to replace all spaces with a '+' sign and use a comma to separate the address components.
This is the JS step:

Paste this address string into the textbox you added and refresh the HTML viewer for the map:
The end result will look something like this:
The last step could be attaching the 'Update map' script button to the user area's OnCreateHandler event, so that when the user displays the master record, the map will be automatically refreshed from the address associated with it.
You may want to hide the map update script button as well.

Is it possible?
Insert a call to google maps page with a customer address.
But we would like to see in the same screen, the customer address fields and in a small area inside that screen, the google map page.

Sap Screen Personas - launch & embed URL issues
Hello,
I am setting up an Screen Personas demo to be shown on a client but I am facing some errors:
I have defined "http://www.google.com/" as whitelisted in SPRO and launching it from a button works fine. By the other hand I have done exactly the same with another url: "http://www.bbc.co.uk/" but I am having the error message 'The entered url is not whitelisted!'.
I also have created a FPM configuration ( http://ides-ecc.agilityworks.local:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/z_fpm_gaf?sap-wd-configId=ZSALES_COMP_CONFIG ) and saved it as whitelisted as well, but when launching the button from Screen Personas i am having the same error message 'The entered url is not whitelisted!.
I am also trying to embed a youtube video within HTML Viewer but I only can see a blank space ( I am using the embed property of this youtube video ).
Can I embed a FPM configuration within an HTML Viewer?
