Reference SAP Note 1981118, the solution includes both SAP GUI 7.30 and SAP GUI 7.40. I am already in a preliminary testing phase of SAP GUI 7.30 core patch 7. I need to increase my projects cost projections based upon when SAP plans on releasing this new client.

Hi Personas experts,
In Tab control one can check the "Tab cach enabled" to add extra actions. As did for a Script Button, I add simple script, such as displaying a value in a text box, inside such an extra action of the Tab control.
But no matter I click the Tabs or reload the UI, the action did not happen. Can anyone explain:
1. Did I do the right way to add actions for Tab control? and why doesn't my implementation work?
2. How does Tab action work normally?

Hi Personas experts,
I am implementing a screen (say, Screen_Act) using Personas where I add a Script Button (say, Act_Btn) to making some actions tio init the UI, such as fill out some fields with given values etc.
This screen can be entered from different places depending the UI flows. I don't want to add "Push" script for Act_Btn from everywhere.
What I want:
Whenever this Screen_Act is shown, a "Push" action is made AUTOMATICALLY for Act_Btn. Does anyone know how to make this?
Or, even more, instead of using the Act_Btn, is there any other way of making AUTOMATIC actions when a screen is shown?

We have written a an ABAP function module that returns material sales text on entry of a material code. This works well in most situations but it seems to throw an error if the sales text string ends in '....' as in ' please type in the rest of your message here ....'
This is the output string from the FM when run from a browser ...

I have install the SAP GUI 7.30 Rev 4 for MacBook...It got installed properly but when i am trying to add system in GUI then its throwing the error "Error in opening the connection dialog!".

Has anyone got experience with enjoy transactions like ME23N (Purchase order display).
I am planning to display some data from all the three selection like Header, Item and Item details selections (One Tab from each of this selections).
When I am Expanding the Header selection the Item details selections is Collapsed automatically and visa-vasa How I can stop this behavior.
Please guide me, How I can achieve data from all the 3 selection .

We are new users of Personas and are trying to figure out all of the tool's capabilities. Below are some questions that our users had when determining whether or not the Personas tool can replace some GUI screens:
1) Is it possible to have field requirements in text boxes created (e.g. character limits and number/letter only restrictions)?
2) Can scripts be used between multiple sessions in Personas? For example, we would like to be able to "/o" with a transaction in a script button, but it simply does nothing if we try that. Furthermore, it will not allow us to use fields from other sessions in a script (e.g. we would like to copy a value in session 1 and paste it in session 2, but got the error that the control wasn't found. Is this possible in Personas scripting)?
3) In certain transactions, there are different buttons at the top of the screen depending on which tab is selected on a screen, and when creating a flavor, it somehow only grabs the buttons from the tab you are currently on and uses those on every tab on the screen. Is there some setting where we can get around this issue?
4) General scripting question: is there a way to alter the size of the box when creating scripts to make it easier to see all of the steps? Additionally, is there a way to make navigation within the scripting tool easier (because when you delete a step it takes you to the top of the screen, which can be tedious if you are working with a very large script)?
5) In the GUI, at the very top-left there is a menu that has an option for users to either Stop Transaction or Create Session and these options are missing when using Personas. Is there a solution for recovering this functionality in Personas?
6) In scripting, we are trying to create a Fast Order Entry (and Fast Order Display) option but when trying to copy/paste variant configuration the script gives a "control not found" error message. In scripting, is there some special action that needs to take place when trying to copy/paste VC values? We have had success with the general order header/line item data but always run into errors with the VC.
7) Can variants be used within Personas?
We understand that Personas may not be able to fully replace every piece of GUI functionality but we are trying to get a yes/no as to some of the questions we have come up with.

I am testing the new GUI 7.40 today. There seems to be a problem with transaction PFCG and the new Blue Crystal Theme. After starting transaction code PFCG all GUI 7.40 windows disappear... If I reproduce the error in NWBC 5 a text is shown to read note 520688. I cannot find any error log and the GUI is the newest version.
The GUI does not crash, if I use Corbu Theme or Signature Theme and start PFCG.

I've been trying to catch an error but for some reason it is not working. These are the steps to get the error:
These are the script steps I'm following and it is not working:
For some reason, it stops in transaction IW51 and shows the error normally.
While I was doing the script, I noticed that if you click the error on the status bar, a pop up will display with information of the error. I tried to incorporate the popup to the script but it didn't do anything different. It is still stopping in IW51 to show me the error. What can I do?

Hi friends, I just downloaded this morning SAP GUI 7.40 for Windows (yes, is available as of today Oct. 6, I just found it in download section) and installed successfully on my Windows 8.1 system. Everything seems to be working perfectly except systems with SAP Router connection. I got this error:

Anybody else with this issue?

Is there a list of restrictions/limitations for SAP GUI 740 available?
We have started validating the SAP GUI 740 in our environment to evaluate it, so far we have observed the following:
1. Using the SAP Signature Theme, no issues have been found as yet for our ERP and BW environments so far in our tests
2. Using the Blue Crystal Theme, there seems to be deficiencies as not all transactions seem to be supported or have issues with the theme, for example below,
2a. ERP: Transaction code: PECM_PROCESS_SUPPORT, when accessing the transaction the first time, the status icons show as blue, to see the colors, one has to click on the icons themselves? and then the icons change colors.
2b.BW: (Either a BW 7.3 SP7 or BW 7.4 SP8 system - tested against both systems), when running the transaction code RSA1 or RSPC, the SAP GUI740 opens the transaction and immediately the SAP GUI 740 crashes when using the Blue Crystal theme.
So far it is still early days in our testing and ideally we would like to understand what works or where there are potential issues before we start considering a rollout to our users.
