SAP GUI 730 P6 H1

Hi Guys,

 

do have a question related to our new future Office package Office365 Click2Run.

Actually we are running SAP GUI 730 Patch 6; Hotfix 1

 

I noticed SAP Note 1973324 where it's explained that we of course do need a host installation when running BEX Analyzer. We also run the Bex Webanalyzer tool and are of course aware that a "Browser stand allone Office version" wouldn't work.

 

What does SAP actually recommend?

 

I found that wiki article from Oliver Stelzer http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/BI/Complete+Installation+SAP+GUI+730+and+BEx+Frontend where he recommend to use the newest Patch of SAP GUI 730.

 

I like to hear what you guys out there facing when running Office365.

SAP Screen Personas - Access on group box properties

Hello everybody,

 

 

i was thinking about an opportunity to access the properties of a Group box, more detailed the property "Visibility".

 

The idea was to fade out some Group boxes after clicking a button. This would give me some advantage, for example i could show more transactions in one Flavour. Second advantage, the user would immediately know in which area of the ERP System he is, for example a button which hides every Transaction except the FI-CO Transactions, because i want to Group the Transaction on the Screen after different themes(FI-GL,FI-AP,FI-AR,MM ...)

 

Is there a possibility to implement this via JavaScript or is it not possible to address ther properties?

How to customise Logon Balancing error in SAP GUI?

Hi All,

 

I am trying to customise the logon balancing error that is encountered from SAP GUI when connecting to systems.

For us, it is mandatory to connect with our organisation VPN before accessing any SAP system from SAP GUI or portal.

In case , the user is not connected to VPN, SAP GUI throws the Logon balancing error.

 

I want to show a message in that custom error in place of that Logon balancing error.

As far as I understand, the error message is generated from SAP GUI .But i could not find a way or any post for customising that.

 

Can anyone help here?

Bex is not connected to BW system.?

Hi All,

 

we have a peculiar issue.

One of our users have SAP GUI 730 installed on the system.

We usually use BEX through portal.i.e.From our portal,we click on SAP Businees Reporting and it takes us to BW system alongwith which BEx excel opens.

This user has all this working fine.

But the Bex is not connected to BW system.

This issue is faced by only one user.Also we tried for this user on another machine and there it is connected.

So I came on a conclusion that this is machine specific.

But could not come up with the cause.

Any other user who logs in there faces the same issue.

Is there any particular setting missing for MS Excel or in the macine??

Create .msi Installer Package?

  1. Is there a way to create a .MSI Installer Package to distribute SAP GUI installation through Microsoft Tools?
  2. Is this method supported by SAP?

I have a doubt, about the SAP System ABAP ECC. We have the parameter rdisp/gui_auto_logout set in the RZ10 and it work´s fine. I´d like to know if is possible change the standard message.

SAP GUI 7.20 upgrade AUTOMATIC for multiple PCs

Hello,

 

I need to upgrade my SAPGUI from 7.10 to 7.20  patch 9. I need to do it in approximately 500 PCs so I would like to distribute it in order to avoid the 500 manual installations.

 

I have to install SAP GUI 7.20, Engineerig Viewer 7.10, SAP BW 3.5, KW 7.20 and Business Explorer. I have used this command:

 

SetupAll.exe /product="SAPGUI720ECL710BW350KW720SAPBI" /silent

 

I have tried to execute it but it does nothing. It shows the window where I have to select the products I want to install. I have tried in some PCs and this window is always shown ¿Is this command correct?

 

I need to install all the products so they should be authomatically selected and then installed. ¿How can I automatically install all these products with a command that does not need any human participation?

 

Please, help me.

new sap router installation

i have install the new sap router but getting error

 

install through administrator

Hi ,

 

I am using transaction ME23N, would like to access row values from item table for selected row. I have written a script as in screen shot and its giving me error at java script step two. I want to get the PR number from item table for selected row.

Standard Tcode Scroll Bar different for other languages

hi,

User Logon DE.

Opens CC02 under "Objects" section there is a table and has DELETE button ENABLED.

Strange thing, when he scrolls down that DELETE buttong gets DISABLED.

 

User Logon EN.

Repeats same thing as above, but here the DELETE button remains ENABLED even if he scrolls it down.

 

Please assist.

Personas: How to reset to the Default falvor for a transaction?

Hi Personas,

 

In Personas one can create several screens for a given transaction, say iw21, and select one to be the Default one. In my case I created screenA and Screen B with different UI layouts for iw21 that are used in different apps.

 

What I want is this UI behaviour:

 

In one app, running iw21 will show sceenA, and in the other app, running iw21 will show screenB. Such an action can be achieved by the script:

"Switch Flavor iw21//screenA" or "Switch Flavor iw21//screenB".

 

The issue:

 

Assume there has been a screenC that is created as the "Default flavor" for iw21 in editing mode. It is thus expected that whenever running iw21, UI will show screenC. While, the fact is that after running "Switch Flavor iw21//screenA" in one app, next time running iw21 in other apps will always show screenA instead of screenC, which means screenA now behaviours like the "Default screen" for iw21. This may not be true in other apps (ie, you may want to see screenC for iw21 in other apps by default). It also means in all the apps which run iw21, they all have to do "iw21//flavor_name" syntax, instead of simply running "iw21".

 

Is there any other way of "reset" the Default flavor to say screenC for iw21, after doing "Switch Flavor iw21//screenA"?

Personas: How to make sure the correct selection of a variant from a list?

Hi Personas experts,

 

I have a case where user can press a button to get a list of variants and user wants to pick up the specific one he created ahead from the list.

 

There can be the cases where the variant has or hasn't been setup when using the Personas app. If I record the actions and use it in script, I want to make a sort of "check" to see if the selected variant from the variant list is correct or not, so I can show user a note.

 

Or even more complicated situation: suppose my newly created variant is at the top of the list at beginning, but after a while, some other variants may be created too in the list. I am not sure if my variant position in the list will be changed then.

 

Questions:

 

Q1: When a list of variants is shown, how can I make a script to select a specific variant by name, say, to select "myVariant"?

 

Q1: What to do if the wanted variant doesn't exist in the list, or its original position in the list has changed?

dynamic url error "Stay On This Page" Leave this Page" in personas

Hi,

 

 

When i try to refresh the link with new parameters in HTML viewer it prompts me with "Stay On This Page" Leave this Page" a message pops up.

The Scenario is i am calling me2l report from me23n transaction with vendor number as input. link which is working is http://server:port/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?~transaction=me2l;EL_LIFNR-LOW=10000000;DYNP_OKCODE=ONLI

But when i change the vendor number and refresh HTML view then it gives a message "Stay On This Page" Leave this Page" a message pops up. Please help in this regard.

dynamic URL not working in HTML viewer in SAP PERSONAS

Hi

 

Display ME2L report in HTML viewer. Input parameter for ME2L is vendor code.

 

Below link only takes me to SAP MAIN screen

it does not take me ME2L report. Is there any mistake in the above link which needs to be corrected.

 

 

 

below link if i open in different tab of my browser opens the report ME2L with mentioned vendor code in the link

Fields (functional location, equipment) not shown in SAP Screen Personas - IW21

Hi community,

we use SAP Screen Personas for SAP PM. We optimized the transaction IW21 (create notification) for our production people to create a notification. The problem is that the two fields functional location and equipment are not shown in the SAP Screen Personas view (see attachments).

All other fields are shown.

 

Can you help me with this issue or do you have the same problems?

Personas: how to 'backup' flavors on the same sysyem?

Hi Personas experts,

 

I was trying to find a way to 'backup' some flavors that I created and want to keep. After the backup, I can delete them from Personas.

 

As a testing, I export a favor, then delete the flavor from Personas. Next, I want to restore the flavor by importing the flavor from the same system.

 

Now it is sadly found that a flavor exported from a system cannot be imported on the same system. Anyone has an idea how to solved this?

 

I tried a solution but it is too much complicated - I export the flavor on one system, then import it on another system, then export again the flavor, finally, import the flavor back to the original system. Any idea better than this?

Create External document (URL) in SAP Personas

Hi Smart People!

 

To save some steps and incorporate a scanner I am working on creating buttons to "Attach Documents" in different areas such as MM03, FB03, and a few others where we have to keep a scanned in document attached to certain other Materials or Payables and such. All docs are scanned in and saved online and then we use the "create external document (url) menu option to link it where it is needed in SAP.

 

In one place it works just fine and in the others it is not working at all and custom button or even just following the already existing menu options it keeps giving me this error. I tried search on the SCN and Google and no such luck on this error. Anyone have any ideas? See pic below and also the text below is the separated error so you can see what it actually says.
